Blaming over-treatment on the test is patently illogical. Unfortunately, such reactions are all-too-typical these days!

Keep up the great work!

P.S. The biopsy is overused as a diagnostic tool when the other less invasive methods are just as accurate. I was PSA screened with a 6.75 and given a 12 needle biopsy...just to be sure. Of course the doctor found 1/3 of my prostate in a grade 6 "cancer". I was counseled that he'd perform a radical prostatecomy, and I'd return to "normal" life. Uh? Really? I am (and always have been) completely asymptomatic in every regard. I elected for a different path of going 100% strictly vegan and started juicing veggies at least once a day. In one year, my cholesterol, A1C, weight and artery scans were significantly improved back to before I was 35 (I'm a lot older than that now) and my PSA dropped to 5.4 Why would this doctor recommend such a crazy treatment? Simple answer is it's in the economics of the situation, not the health of the patient. He isn't paid if I solve the health issue without his help.

I applaud your much more intelligent approach. I hope you'll consider recommending a radical dietary modification as the first line of offense in combating these health issues.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
